Angharad Lloyd Beynon is Head of Policy and Sales at VTCT Skills, where she plays a key role in advancing the organisation’s mission to empower individuals and organisations through skills development, lifelong learning, and professional achievement. She leads stakeholder engagement and policy activity, supporting strategic growth and influencing skills agendas.
A fluent Welsh speaker, her bilingual skills enable her to build strong relationships with Welsh-speaking stakeholders and ensure that organisations receive personalised support in both Welsh and English, reflecting VTCT Skills’ commitment to serving communities across the country.
Nickie has been working in the Hair and Beauty industry for over 30 years. Having trained as a hairdresser and Beauty Therapist she decided that her passion lay with Beauty Therapy.
Nickie started her teaching career at the age of 21 where she ran Part-time adults in taster courses for Hair and Beauty. Nickie then progressed into full time teaching at a local college where she continued to work for 25 years. Within that time she was a Beauty Therapy Lecturer, Lead IQA which lead her to be a cross college IQA Champion across the colleges 5 sites. In the last 12 months of her College career she was also Curriculum lead for Visitor Economy, Nickie Left education in May 2022 and started her new role with VTCT Skills in June 2022.
Nickie is the Key account manager for Wales where she supports centres by assisting them with any aspect of the implementation of the Curriculum.

Working closely with Qualifications Wales and sector stakeholders, we’ve developed qualifications that provide meaningful progression opportunities while helping learners gain practical, job-ready skills.
