Following a meeting at Professional Beauty India in Mumbai, VTCT Skills was delighted to support cosmetology students at Government ITI Panvel, Maharashtra, through the contribution of professional training resources including hairbrushes, compact mirrors and salon capes.
Government ITI Panvel provides government-supported vocational education to students from a range of backgrounds, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to pursue careers in the beauty industry. For many learners, opportunities to engage with international organisations and industry networks are limited, making such interactions particularly encouraging and valuable.
The contribution was warmly received by students and staff, providing valuable resources for practical training whilst reinforcing the importance of professional standards within the sector.
Cosmetology Instructor at ITI Panvel, Mrs Sumedha Hitendra Yadav, said:
“Our students were very happy to receive these items. Many come from modest family backgrounds and want to learn skills that will help them secure employment or start their own business. It was very encouraging for them to see that an international organisation from the UK is supporting beauty and cosmetology education.”
This activity reflects VTCT Skills’ commitment to supporting learners worldwide from all backgrounds, and building relationships that help create opportunities to employment, skills development and improved career prospects. Both organisations look forward to exploring further collaborations to enhance student exposure to international standards and best practice within the beauty sector.
